Caribbean/Reflections of Truth 24" x 36" Oil Canvas $ Please Inquire As much as I am enamoured with technology, this is a painting that cannot be justly represented here. All my beloved cameras balk at taking a photo of this work. This painting is about the seen and the unseen, the moment of night when blue and green are mated. Even though the world is mostly water it is in the land that we seek meaning. Look to the water, though it is vast and mysterious and not wholly knowable, moments of truth emerge from the depth unexpectedly.
I have lived in the Caribbean. I have breathed the air that is four elements, not one, that is water in the hours before dawn, that is fire in the height of noon, that is earth as the sun sets, lighting the ocean with a peculiar light. |
